Job Description
The Solutions Buyer is responsible for managing procurement processes, supporting sourcing initiatives, maintaining vendor relationships, and improving supply chain efficiency within a renewable energy company focused on solar and storage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchase order process ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to meet project and operational needs
- Serve as primary liaison with suppliers, including onboarding and maintaining vendor relationships
- Issue purchase orders, coordinate RFQs, and monitor shipment statuses to prevent delays
- Develop and implement process improvements and standard operating procedures within the Supply Chain team
- Resolve procurement-related issues and escalate as necessary
- Maintain the Approved Vendor List and gather supplier qualification requirements
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding order status and supply chain challenges
Requirements
- 2-5 years of sourcing or procurement experience required and/or 2 years of solar experience.
- Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in fast-paced project environments.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint with experience using ERP or procurement systems preferred.
