The Solutions Buyer is responsible for managing procurement processes, supporting sourcing initiatives, maintaining vendor relationships, and improving supply chain efficiency within a renewable energy company focused on solar and storage projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchase order process ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support strategic sourcing initiatives to meet project and operational needs
Serve as primary liaison with suppliers, including onboarding and maintaining vendor relationships
Issue purchase orders, coordinate RFQs, and monitor shipment statuses to prevent delays
Develop and implement process improvements and standard operating procedures within the Supply Chain team
Resolve procurement-related issues and escalate as necessary
Maintain the Approved Vendor List and gather supplier qualification requirements
Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding order status and supply chain challenges
Requirements
2-5 years of sourcing or procurement experience required and/or 2 years of solar experience.
Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in fast-paced project environments.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint with experience using ERP or procurement systems preferred.
