Job Description

The Project Manager Standalone Services oversees solar service projects, managing financials, scheduling, operational coordination, and customer communication to ensure timely, within-budget, high-quality project completion in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial performance and tracking of solar service projects to ensure alignment with budgets and contracts
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, coordinating milestones, workforce, and materials
  • Serve as primary contact for customer communication, providing regular project updates and managing expectations
  • Coordinate project mobilization, logistics, and workforce deployment to meet deadlines
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with safety standards
  • Manage project execution, including corrective work, milestone inspections, and adherence to industry regulations

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in solar services, renewable energy, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of DC remediation, wire management, and QA QC inspections in solar energy.
  • Experience managing PO-based projects, including financial tracking and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software e.g., MS Excel, Procore, Smartsheet.
  • Strong skills in customer communication, problem-solving, and logistics coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and solar industry safety standards.
  • Education or experience that demonstrates the ability to oversee project financial management, including daily financial tracking, budget vs. actual cost analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to develop detailed project schedules, align milestones, workforce, and material availability, and communicate progress to customers and internal teams.
  • Experience coordinating full project mobilization and demobilization, including materials, logistics, and workforce scheduling.
  • Experience conducting QA QC inspections to validate work quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve on-site challenges to maintain project efficiency.
