Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that repair and overhaul processes of aerospace engine components meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards through process evaluation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure procedures and processes meet quality standards throughout repair overhaul lifecycle
  • Evaluate and approve work instructions, technical drawings, and maintenance releases
  • Identify root causes of issues and develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Investigate customer concerns and compile technical reports on findings and actions
  • Lead non-conformance corrective actions using root cause analysis
  • Review and validate technical documentation to ensure OEM and regulatory compliance
  • Support process and procedure improvements through problem-solving and data analysis
  • Act as authorized representative to determine airworthiness and sign maintenance releases
  • Coordinate employee training for qualification and certification per industry standards

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field with an emphasis in quality preferred.
  • A minimum of five years experience in the field of quality or engineering in the aerospace industry with an emphasis on compliance to domestic and international civil aviation regulations.
  • A minimum of three years shop environment exposure with a general knowledge of processes used in manufacturing.
  • Previous experience and participation in continuous improvement, corrective action, and preventative action programs.
  • Previous participation in performing internal and external vendor audits.
  • ASQ certification CQA and/or CQE preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, including the ability to process basic data and construct general reports.
  • Read, speak, and write in English.
