Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing operations in a climate-controlled environment, leading a team to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-focused production of turbine engine components, while managing personnel, schedules, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of the production team.
  • Monitor and review completed work to ensure adherence to scope and quality standards.
  • Assign, verify, track, and monitor work and metrics using computer software.
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Manage personnel work hours, shift schedules, time off, and overtime to meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct performance reviews, employee development, and handle disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with trainers and managers to improve employee skills and process efficiency.
  • Lead department meetings and communicate changes affecting employees.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment or aviation maintenance.
  • Experience in understanding and following verbal and written instructions accurately, including the reading and interpretation of technical drawings and work scope instructions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and or experience in aviation maintenance.
  • High School graduate, with advanced educational accreditation preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying basic shop math and the use of measuring devices.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, which may include fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
  • Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
