Job Description
The Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing operations in a climate-controlled environment, leading a team to ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of turbine engine component repairs and modifications while managing personnel and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee the safety and well-being of the production team.
- Monitor and review completed work to ensure adherence to scope and quality standards.
- Assign, verify, track, and monitor work using computer software applications.
- Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve performance goals.
- Manage personnel work hours, shift schedules, time off, and overtime to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews, employee development, and enforce accountability.
- Collaborate with trainers and managers to improve employee skills and process efficiency.
- Lead department meetings and communicate changes impacting employees.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment or aviation maintenance.
- Experience in understanding and following verbal and written instructions accurately, including the reading and interpretation of technical drawings and work scope instructions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and or experience in aviation maintenance.
- High School graduate, with advanced educational accreditation preferred.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
- Experience in interpreting and applying basic shop math and the use of measuring devices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
- Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
