Job Description

The Repair and Assembly Process Engineer focuses on developing and improving repair and assembly processes for turbine engine components, leading projects to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput while supporting troubleshooting, process development, and team training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and execute continuous improvement plans to enhance repair process quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Develop or revise work instructions, tooling, and fixturing to support production and repair processes.
  • Troubleshoot repair process issues and turbine engine component problems on the shop floor.
  • Support the specification and implementation of new materials, processes, and technologies.
  • Ensure repair processes meet quality and testing standards using approved technical data and industry standards.
  • Communicate repair process information and problem-solving strategies across organizational levels and assist in employee training.

Requirements

  • A 4 Year Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc., from an accredited college or university, OR a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Understanding of Repair and Assembly Process terminology, requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation including OEM repair manuals, FAA Regulations, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to pass a vision test and a fitness-for-duty test.
  • Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects using hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other handling methods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
