Job Description

The Process Engineer Manager leads a team of engineers in developing, optimizing, and maintaining repair processes for turbine engine components in aerospace, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Process Engineers to develop, optimize, and sustain turbine engine component repair processes.
  • Oversee process development, improvement, and ensure engineering documentation compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate repair process activities, including tooling and fixture design, to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Provide technical support for repair processes, manual repairs, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and new repair methods.
  • Evaluate and justify tooling upgrades, capacity expansions, and automation initiatives.
  • Establish and communicate departmental objectives and monitor work to ensure adherence to scope and standards.
  • Perform employee performance reviews, coaching, development, and manage conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years of engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, with emphasis on aircraft repair, OEM applicable technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field.
  • Previous experience in leading, directing and controlling a team, process and project in the engineering field.
  • Exposure to and a demonstrated ability to challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and work activities while creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions.
  • Experienced leader with the ability to coach and influence others across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while adhering to a high attention to detail standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear actions for operations and leadership.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of turbine engine components, operation, and Part 145 repair station processes, rules and regulations (helpful but not mandatory).
  • Highly experienced in MS Office and other support programs used in the field of engineering.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
