Job Description

The Maintenance Planner supports the in-house maintenance team by planning and scheduling equipment, building, and property maintenance activities, ensuring efficient operations, inventory management, and compliance within a modern aerospace manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule all equipment, building, and property maintenance activities.
  • Develop job plans detailing manpower, task durations, and required crafts.
  • Coordinate and prioritize preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Manage inventory, parts, and materials to support maintenance activities.
  • Assign personnel to maintenance tasks and open work orders.
  • Facilitate and track maintenance work using CMMS software.
  • Develop and implement new preventative maintenance procedures for assets.
  • Monitor work order progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Manage vendor activities and outside maintenance contractors.
  • Generate reports on maintenance activities, downtime, and improvements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of equipment maintenance, facility maintenance or building maintenance.
  • A demonstrated experience level working in a position requiring a high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Planning, Organizing, Overseeing multiple objectives, and Critical deadline understanding.
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common product information materials, such as simple blueprints, plan sets, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC schematics.
  • Demonstrated above average computer skill level with experience in Microsoft Office programs of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Possess a high school diploma.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • General knowledge of standard shop practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Work in accordance with established safety protocols and guidelines, including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Able to work in difficult positions from time to time, stand and/or sit for portions of the shift, and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods.
  • Able to move less heavy parts weighing up to 50 pounds with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
  • Occasionally use powered and non-powered hand tools.
