Job Description
The Customer Support Center Engineer investigates and manages out-of-manual conditions on turbine engine components, using technical data to identify solutions and communicate repair strategies, while collaborating with OEM engineers to resolve complex issues and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and report Out of Manual Conditions (OMC) on turbine engine components
- Manage OMCs by tracking, reviewing, and communicating issues to meet customer needs
- Identify and assist in resolving trends and repetitive processing issues causing delays, using continuous improvement methods
- Use technical data to determine and communicate repair paths for engine components
- Collaborate with OEM engineers and other engineers to develop innovative solutions for common issues
Requirements
- At least a 2-year engineering degree or a 4-year STEM degree.
- Prior experience using or interpreting technical requirements.
- Interest in engineering problem solving.
- Demonstrates high ownership and accountability.
- Must be able to pass a vision test and fitness-for-duty test.
- Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Work in varying positions from time to time, including standing and sitting for portions of the shift.
- Able to move parts weighing 50 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods.
- Able to move less heavy parts weighing 50 pounds with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
- Occasionally use powered and hand-held tools.
