Job Description

The Customer Program Manager oversees the evaluation, repair, and overhaul of gas turbine engine components, ensuring work scopes are developed, communicated, and executed efficiently while meeting customer requirements and delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate shipping plans and goals within the team.
  • Review component condition, develop repair work scope, and determine ship dates.
  • Interpret inspection findings and create technical reports for repairs.
  • Communicate work scopes across all levels of the company.
  • Manage and review metrics related to on-time delivery and ship date accuracy.
  • Notify relevant departments of exceptions affecting ship dates or customer requirements.
  • Initiate and monitor continuous improvement programs for efficiency and quality.
  • Manage quality exceptions and coordinate reworks during repairs.
  • Coordinate with production and scheduling to review labor requirements.
  • Utilize software to assign, verify, track, and monitor job metrics.
  • Communicate material requirements to production and purchasing teams.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing setting, or relevant industry.
  • A minimum of an associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exposure to directing projects, processes, or repairs.
  • Experience in understanding and following verbal and written instructions accurately, including the reading and interpretation of technical drawings and work scope instructions.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Above average knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying basic shop math and the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to work with basic data processing software.
  • Pre-employment testing requirements that may include fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
  • Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.
