Job Description

The Entry Level Chemical Clean Process Technician is responsible for learning and performing chemical and mechanical cleaning processes on gas turbine engine components, following safety protocols and detailed procedures, in a manufacturing environment with extensive training and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Perform chemical and mechanical cleaning processes on engine components, including chemical cleaning, power washing, nitric stripping, paint stripping, and titanium oven baking.
  • Use overhead cranes and ensure proper tank times and process parameters during cleaning operations.
  • Follow detailed procedures for processing engine components throughout the cleaning line.
  • Accurately log all process steps and results in department logs.
  • Communicate work-related issues and problems with supervisors or other departments.

Requirements

  • Some work experience in a manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Knowledge of machines, equipment, and workplace safety.
  • Ability or experience following directions and reading work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability or experience in being able to effectively communicate with team members, including recognizing and adapting to a structured training program.
  • High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to move parts weighing 50 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods.
  • Ability to move less heavy parts weighing 50 pounds with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
  • Willingness to work in varying positions, including standing and sitting for portions of the shift.
  • Compliance with all safety and environmental rules that apply, including use of safety and personal protective equipment as mandated.
  • Pre-employment testing requirements that may include fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
