Job Description
The Supply Chain Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to manufacturing and operations teams, while optimizing processes and reducing costs within a fast-paced, innovative fusion energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and software tools for manufacturing and operations teams.
- Lead and manage a team supporting inventory, logistics, planning, and procurement functions.
- Manage supplier relationships to optimize processes, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Utilize data to identify trends, improve supply chain performance, and reduce risks.
Requirements
- Experience in supply chain management, including leading a team supporting inventory, logistics, planning, and procurement functions.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing data to identify trends, improve performance, and reduce risk within the supply chain.
- Experience in optimizing processes to minimize cost and waste.
- Strong leadership skills to lead a small team supporting various supply chain functions.
- Understanding of compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws).
- Ability to ensure internal customers have the materials, equipment, and physical software tools they need when they need them.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with manufacturing and operations teams.
- Ability to support broader business objectives through supply chain strategies.
