A Subassemblies Technician responsible for assembling and inspecting high-precision, ultra high vacuum components for fusion energy systems, ensuring quality and timely delivery to support the development of the SPARC Tokamak at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble high-precision, ultra high vacuum subassemblies for the SPARC Tokamak.
Perform quality checks and ensure build quality of critical parts.
Handle and assemble systems such as RF antennas, plasma facing components, port plugs, correction coils, stability coils, and plasma diagnostics.
Use hands-on assembly skills to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the assembly process.
Requirements
Meticulous attention to detail in build quality is necessary, as the Subassemblies Technician will be the last set of hands and eyes on critical parts.
Draw upon years of technical experience building complex systems to deliver the best possible parts.
Experience in hands-on assembly skills related to high-precision, ultra high vacuum subassemblies.
Ability to assemble and work with high power RF antennas, plasma facing components, port plugs, error field correction coils, vertical stability coils, and plasma diagnostics.
