Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Commissioning Test Engineer is responsible for developing, revising, and executing mechanical test procedures for the SPARC Assembly project, supporting the commissioning and testing of fusion energy systems at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate, develop, revise, and support execution of Mechanical Test procedures for the SPARC Assembly project
  • Develop and refine mechanical testing processes and protocols
  • Support the execution of mechanical testing activities to ensure project requirements are met

Requirements

  • Experience in initiation, development, revision, and execution support of Mechanical Test procedures related to complex assembly projects, specifically associated with the SPARC Assembly project initiative.
  • Ability to develop and revise Mechanical Test procedures in support of assembly and commissioning processes.
  • Proven experience in mechanical commissioning and testing within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to support the development and execution of Mechanical Test procedures from initiation through revision and implementation.
  • Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws), with employment contingent on such compliance.
