A hands-on Senior Equipment Engineer responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum systems used in research and development of thin-film deposition technology for fusion energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and improve high-vacuum systems used in R&D and operations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex vacuum deposition equipment
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment operation
Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members working on equipment
Requirements
Strong technical expertise in supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum systems used in research and development (R D) and operations.
Procedural discipline in equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to collaborate across engineering and operations functions to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment operation.
Experience working on complex equipment, particularly in vacuum deposition technology or similar fields.
Mentoring skills to guide and support other team members.
Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws).
