Job Description
A hands-on Senior Equipment Engineer responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum systems used in research and development of thin-film deposition technology for fusion energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve high-vacuum systems used in R&D and operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex vacuum deposition equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment operation
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members working on equipment
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum systems used in research and development (R D) and operations.
- Procedural discipline in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and operations functions to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment operation.
- Experience working on complex equipment, particularly in vacuum deposition technology or similar fields.
- Mentoring skills to guide and support other team members.
- Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws).
