Job Description
A hands-on Senior Equipment Engineer responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum sputtering and evaporation systems used in research and pilot-line operations to develop next-generation thin-film deposition technology for fusion energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve high-vacuum sputtering and evaporation systems used in R&D and pilot-line operations
- Ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance operation of complex deposition equipment
- Collaborate across engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and procedures
Requirements
- Hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and improving high-vacuum sputtering and evaporation systems used in research and development (R D) and pilot-line operations.
- Strong technical expertise in vacuum deposition equipment, specifically sputtering and evaporation systems.
- Procedural discipline in operating and maintaining complex equipment.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and operations functions to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment operation.
- Experience working with complex equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to mentor others and solve problems collaboratively.
