The Operations Engineer will be responsible for preparing, commissioning, and operating the SPARC fusion facility, serving as a subject matter expert for critical plant service systems, and contributing to procedures, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, commission, and operate the SPARC fusion facility
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for plant service systems including electrical distribution, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, and cryogenic systems
Develop procedures and plans for commissioning, maintenance, and operations
Troubleshoot and test plant systems to ensure proper functioning
Contribute to work management, maintenance planning, and training activities
Requirements
Experience serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for plant service systems including electrical distribution, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, cryogenic systems, and other critical infrastructure.
Ability to contribute to procedure development, commissioning, maintenance planning, operations, work management, troubleshooting, testing, and training related to plant service systems.
Self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-changing environment with limited oversight.
Educational background or experience sufficient to understand and manage plant service systems and infrastructure (specific degree or years of experience not explicitly stated but implied).
