Mechanical Engineer

• Provide on-floor, hands-on manufacturing support for pilot and production lines • Assess the producibility of designs and provide continuous design improvement • Update design documentation with feedback from prototype and pilot builds • Assess non-conformances • Participate in root cause investigations • Suggest and lead prototyping efforts that reduce risk during manufacturing start-up • Create standard procedures and contribute to the creation of work instructions • Organize and lead design for manufacturing reviews • Work with production teams to improve process and/or equipment

• BS in technical field - Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (ex. Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial, Materials, etc) • 4+ years' experience in mechanical, manufacturing, or quality engineering • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally • Perform activities such as typing, standing, stooping, and sitting, for extended periods of time • Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
