The Manager of Manufacturing Systems Engineering leads the development and management of digital manufacturing systems and data integration on the factory floor, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable production processes while overseeing a team of engineers responsible for factory automation and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the digital architecture and integration of manufacturing systems and data, including SCADA, HMI, and backend databases.
Design and ensure the reliability, efficiency, and user-friendliness of factory floor systems and processes.
Serve as the technical advisor for system integrity and configuration management, evaluating process updates and maintaining synchronization with shop floor execution.
Establish standardized frameworks and facilitate robust data workflows across production lines for scalability and resilience.
Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for manufacturing floor systems, including SCADA, HMI, and backend software engineers.
Act as a key interface between production leadership, equipment engineers, controls engineers, IT OT system engineers, and factory workers.
Requirements
Experience in developing and managing the digital architecture and integration of manufacturing systems and data, including SCADA, HMI, backend databases, and standards for manufacturing operations and production scaling.
Proven ability to serve as the architect of factory floor systems, ensuring that technology and processes used to build products are user-friendly, efficient, integrated, and reliable.
Experience serving as a technical advisor for system integrity and configuration management on manufacturing floors, providing high-level coaching and expert insight to evaluate the impact of process updates, and ensuring synchronization of design intent and shop floor execution into a single source of truth.
Ability to establish standardized frameworks and facilitate robust data workflows to ensure all production lines use the same architecture, making production scalable and resilient.
Experience acting as a critical interface between production leadership, equipment engineers (mechanical controls), IT OT system engineers, and factory workers.
Management experience leading a team of SCADA HMI engineers, backend software engineers, and manufacturing systems engineers responsible for systems on the manufacturing floor.
Educational background or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical fields.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, including the ability to adhere to Export Control Laws.
