Job Description

The Manager, Financial Planning Analysis at Commonwealth Fusion Systems is a strategic financial partner responsible for supporting manufacturing and startup operations by developing financial processes, analyzing performance, and advising leadership to drive informed decision-making in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and assess financial plans and forecasts.
  • Build and improve financial processes related to manufacturing and start-up operations.
  • Analyze actual performance results to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage a subset of the FP&A team focused on manufacturing and start-up environments.
  • Gain a deep understanding of unit economics to support financial analysis and planning.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting manufacturing and start-up environments with a focus on building financial processes from the ground up.
  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of unit economics within a manufacturing and start-up environment.
  • Experience working directly with leaders to make strategic decisions, set plans, assess actual performance results, and make informed forward-looking forecasts.
  • Experience managing a subset of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team members who share a focus on manufacturing and start-up environments.
  • Proven ability to interact with and influence members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to build and interpret financial models and forecasts.
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as a true financial business partner and effectively collaborate with leadership.
  • Experience in developing and implementing financial processes within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws), with any employment offer contingent upon compliance.
