The Manager of Diagnostic Support Equipment is responsible for leading a team that delivers and manages hardware support systems for fusion plasma diagnostics, ensuring seamless integration and operation within the SPARC project, while providing technical contributions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Diagnostic Support Equipment (DSE) team to deliver hardware solutions that provide functional support within the diagnostic systems.
Contribute as an individual contributor to facilitate the delivery and integration of DSE hardware.
Coordinate with interfacing systems and external science staff to ensure effective deployment and operation of support equipment.
Oversee the transition of systems from design to operational phases, adapting responsibilities accordingly.
Requirements
Experience providing team leadership and carrying out responsibilities of an individual contributor to facilitate the delivery of hardware for support equipment.
Ability to work as part of an integrated team that includes interfacing systems and science staff from outside of Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
Willingness to work onsite at CFS as the role is designated LI-Onsite.
