Job Description
The Lead R D Technician at Commonwealth Fusion Systems is responsible for leading a team in the development and production of high temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies, ensuring operational efficiency and maintenance of equipment while collaborating with various departments to meet project goals.
Responsibilities
- •Lead a team in building high temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies
- •Support all aspects of product development and commercialization
- •Monitor and troubleshoot production processes
- •Ensure functional operation and preventative maintenance of equipment
- •Design and build test equipment for various systems
- •Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality departments
Requirements
- •Lead a fast-paced and agile team building high temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies.
- •Experience in R&D with all aspects of product development, commercialization, and ongoing manufacturing support.
- •Experience in development, prototype production, production process monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- •Ensure functional operation and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- •Perform general housekeeping duties.
- •Support design and build of test equipment with systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, magnetic, cryogenic, vacuum, and pressure systems.
- •Close coordination with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to ensure goals and objectives are met.
