Job Description
A hands-on Equipment Technician responsible for supporting the build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex equipment used in fusion research, including vacuum systems, thermal processes, and instrumentation, in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex equipment used in the HTS Pilot line and characterization lab
- Work with advanced vacuum systems, thermal processes, instrumentation, and large-scale assemblies
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance
Requirements
- Support the build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex equipment used in both the HTS Pilot line and characterization lab.
- Work with advanced vacuum systems, thermal processes, instrumentation, and large-scale assemblies in a fast-paced, R D-focused environment.
- Possess hands-on skills and experience as an Equipment Technician.
- Availability to work the second shift hours from 6:30 pm to 6:45 am, including working on Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Wed or every other Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat.
- Be willing to work onsite at Commonwealth Fusion Systems facilities.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws).
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $35 - $50 per hour with a $15 second shift differential
Work schedule: 6:30 pm - 6:45 am, working Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Wed or Thu, Fri, Sat
