Job Description
The Director of Supply Chain - Indirect at Commonwealth Fusion Systems is responsible for developing and executing the indirect procurement strategy, managing vendor relationships, leading negotiations, overseeing procurement processes, and driving supply chain analytics to support the company's mission to develop fusion energy technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement indirect category procurement strategies.
- Manage the Contracts Center of Excellence and Supply Chain Systems analyst team.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes including PO creation, RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, and invoice resolution.
- Lead supplier negotiations and identify cost savings opportunities.
- Manage a diverse vendor base to maximize value.
- Leverage forecasts to drive sourcing activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Drive supply chain process analytics and improvements.
- Manage relationships with the ERP IT team to support supply chain systems.
Requirements

- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process including purchase order (PO) creation, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, and invoice resolution.
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business requirements.
- Serve as the primary driver for supply chain process analytics.
- Manage the relationship with the ERP IT team to support company goals.
- Travel to supplier locations and the company's headquarters in Devens, MA as needed.
- Possess compliance with U.S. export control laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, with any employment offer contingent upon such compliance.
