The Senior Associate role at CRA involves providing economic analysis and advice on competition policy and regulation, working on high-profile cases across Europe, and utilizing quantitative research skills to develop models, analyze data, and contribute to client deliverables within a collaborative consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and conceptualize issues using economic models to analyze market data
Supervise, train, and mentor research staff
Develop and present client deliverables such as expert reports and white papers
Program, build models, and perform statistical and econometric analyses using various software tools
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of economic analyses and opinions
Requirements
PhD degree in economics with a completion date of December 2025 Summer 2026 and an academic focus on Applied Microeconomics or Applied Microeconometrics, with specializations like industrial organization, labor, health, behavioural and public economics, or other quantitative areas
Strong knowledge of economic concepts and a range of research and quantitative skills
Experience in programming and data analysis using Excel, Stata, Python, R, SQL, SAS, ArcGIS ArcPy, or Cloud computing platforms such as Databricks Spark, Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS
Ability to explain economic, financial, and accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
Demonstrated understanding of economic, financial, and/or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
Curious and analytical thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problems
Effective written and oral communication skills
Eagerness to learn new skills and programming languages
Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership
