Job Description
A Senior Backend Engineer role focused on maintaining and supporting on-premise Process Mining applications, supporting migration to the cloud, and enhancing software reliability using Java Spring Boot and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full on-premises product lifecycle, including investigation, implementation, and delivery.
- Support and maintain project stability, security, and update dependencies.
- Improve software reliability and support customer migration to the cloud-based platform.
- Automate development processes to enhance efficiency.
- Assist Level 3 support in resolving complex technical issues for customers.
- Mentor and lead engineering team members to foster growth and a positive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate frameworks.
- Willingness to learn new programming languages like C 17.
- Experience supporting and maintaining on-premises software products.
- Ability to investigate, implement, build, and deliver software to customers.
- Experience supporting on-premises customers in their migration to cloud-based platforms.
- Experience working on microservices-based distributed systems.
- Ability to navigate enterprise challenges such as security, compliance, scalability, and data consistency.
- Excellent programming skills and a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Experience with full product lifecycle ownership, including updating dependencies, implementing new standards and protocols, and supporting project stability and security.
- Experience with automating development processes.
- Experience assisting Level 3 Support in investigating and resolving complex technical problems.
- Experience managing Windows and Linux OS, including standard tools, commands, services, permissions management, debugging, profiling tools, and reading application and system logs.
- Ability to work in geographically distributed work environments.
