Job Description
A Senior Applied AI Engineer at Celonis works directly with customers to identify AI opportunities, design and prototype AI solutions using the Process Intelligence platform and modern AI technologies, and drive adoption to deliver measurable business value through innovative AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact AI opportunities by understanding customer priorities and challenges
- Design scalable AI-powered solutions integrating the Process Intelligence platform with modern AI technologies
- Prototype AI solutions to demonstrate tangible business outcomes
- Facilitate workshops and innovation sessions to explore AI transformation opportunities with customers
- Partner with customer teams to ensure successful AI solution implementation, adoption, and value realization
- Develop deep domain expertise in specific industries or business areas
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience (required).
- Five (5) years of experience in solutions consulting, data AI consulting, technical pre-sales, sales engineering, value engineering, or customer-facing solution-architecture or AI roles.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
- Good understanding of business processes across sectors such as Supply Chain or Finance, with the ability to translate high-level business needs into specific AI use cases.
- Experience prototyping solutions with Python and modern AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Generative AI architectures such as RAG, prompt engineering, or agent-based systems.
- Strong presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders, including executives, in whiteboarding sessions, formal readouts, and demos.
- Experience building or deploying generative AI applications (preferred).
- Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other LLM orchestration frameworks (preferred).
