Job Description
The role involves leading and developing an engineering team focused on building innovative process observability solutions that enable cross-organization data sharing and collaboration, while managing technical projects and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Network Engineering team in Bangalore to deliver their mission
- Oversee team performance, support career development, and foster an engineering culture of trust and collaboration
- Drive hiring processes and grow the careers of team members
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other leads on goals, strategies, and processes
- Promote team collaboration, resolve impediments, and ensure effective decision-making
- Define and assign responsibilities within the engineering team to ensure cohesive workflow
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in an Engineering Manager role with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- Strong technical knowledge with 5 years of experience in software development and overall 10 years of experience in the Software engineering field
- Experience working with Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and microservices
- Working experience in DevOps, Docker, and CI/CD concepts and technology
- Proficiency in establishing and handling agile development methodologies and lean principle techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, and Continuous Delivery
- Proficiency in project management, relationship building, and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of at least one of the Business Domains that Celonis operates in, such as Order Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable
- Ability to resolve technical conflicts and provide a positive environment for escalations
- Strong communication skills in English, allowing collaboration across business and technical domains
- Readiness to actively support and help the team, including rolling up sleeves when necessary
