The DACH CPG & Retail patch represents some of the world's most recognizable consumer brands, retail giants, and mobility innovators.

Key Responsibilities

Based at our global headquarters in Munich , as a Value Engineering Manager / Director for CPG & Retail , you will hold full operational and leadership responsibility specifically for the CPG & Retail segment across the DACH region . In this role, you will lead a dedicated, high-performing team of 6–7 Value Engineers operating at the intersection of process transformation, executive consulting, and AI-driven product execution, driving the end-to-end customer value journey and accelerating enterprise AI adoption across major retail and consumer goods brands.
In this role, you will serve as a player-coach, actively guiding, coaching, and developing a talented, high-potential team with diverse backgrounds spanning supply chain, procurement, management consulting, and retail operations. This role offers tremendous growth potential as you both develop and learn alongside top-tier talent, while serving as a trusted advisor to C-level executives at major enterprise accounts.
Drive Business Outcomes & Account Growth: Take full ownership of ARR targets, renewal forecasts, and net retention across the DACH CPG & Retail sector. Ensure high forecasting accuracy and steer accounts toward tangible, realized value.
People Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, lead, and mentor a team of 6–7 Munich-based Value Engineers. Maintain high standards through proactive coaching, performance management, and career progression planning.
Executive Advisory & Player-Coach: Serve as a Celonis Executive Sponsor on critical DACH deals. Join your team in the field to lead high-impact executive meetings, dry runs, value sprints, and strategic transformation workshops.
Enterprise AI Champion: Partner with customer executives to position Celonis as the foundation for modern process intelligence, digital operational excellence, and next-generation Agentic AI adoption using our Context Model and Digital Twin capabilities.
Ecosystem & Partner Strategy: Cultivate executive-level relationships across regional partner networks, services teams, and account executives to align CPG and retail customer strategies with Celonis AI solutions.
Thought Leadership: Standardize and scale best practices, reusable solution blueprints, and CPG/Retail industry-specific frameworks internally and across external customer communities.

Requirements

Language Skills: Native or business-fluent German (spoken and written) and fluent English are required to interface effectively with executive decision-makers across the DACH market.
Location Presence: Based in or willing to relocate to Munich , with willingness to travel to customer sites across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as needed.
Proven Leadership Experience: Track record leading pre-sales, management consulting, or value engineering teams within Enterprise SaaS, Enterprise AI, or Management Consulting.
Domain Expertise: Deep domain familiarity with supply chain, procurement, fulfillment, and operational processes within the CPG & Retail industries.
People Management: Demonstrated ability to directly manage or mentor a team of 6–7 high-performing individual contributors, with a strong passion for team coaching and talent development.
Commercial Acumen: Strong business acumen with experience owning ACV, net retention, and renewal pipeline metrics.
Executive Presence: Outstanding executive presence with a proven track record of building C-level relationships across global brands and regional retail leaders.
