Job Description
A Data Engineer role focused on developing and refining data models and ontologies for business processes within the Celonis Process Intelligence platform, involving data transformation, system integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable process analysis and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and validate prebuilt data transformations for existing ontologies across business processes like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Inventory Management.
- Define, extend, and improve ontologies for new and existing business processes and systems.
- Build data models and mappings using object-centric process mining methodologies and SQL transformations.
- Design and implement business objects, process events, and data models within the Celonis platform.
- Research and develop ontologies for new business processes and enhance source system transformations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, domain experts, engineers, and consultants.
- Test, validate, and gather feedback on data models in development and customer environments.
- Document data model principles and development processes to ensure usability for internal and external developers.
Requirements
- Experience working with data from at least one of the following system types: ERP systems such as SAP ECC or S/4, Oracle EBS or Fusion; Supply Chain Management systems such as BlueYonder, SAP, or Oracle; CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics; IT systems such as ServiceNow.
- At least 3 years of experience working in the data field as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong solution designing skills with a solid understanding of business processes including supply chain, financial, CRM, or IT-related processes and the data beneath the IT systems that run these processes.
- Experience with databases and data modeling, and hands-on experience with SQL.
- Ability to work independently and own a part of the team’s goals.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build a good rapport with team members.
