This internship involves structural analysis, design, and documentation for various construction projects, with opportunities to assist in site visits and process improvements under the guidance of licensed engineers, potentially leading to a full-time role for qualified students.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design of new and existing structural systems.
Prepare technical documents and reports from concept to detailed design.
Assist in reviewing and marking up shop drawing submittals.
Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Requirements
Must be enrolled in and working toward a Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering Structural focus from an ABET accredited program.
Coursework in building systems engineering is required.
Concrete and steel design experience or coursework is required.
Masonry and wood design experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit and RAM is preferred.
