Job Description
Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for various building types under the supervision of a licensed engineer, utilizing engineering software and BIM tools, and support construction documentation and review processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze structural systems for various building types under supervision
- Perform design calculations using engineering software
- Create BIM models and develop contract documents including plans, sections, and details
- Coordinate structural systems with overall building design
- Review shop drawings during construction
- Conduct field observations and site walkthroughs during construction
Requirements
- Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering Structural emphasis from an ABET accredited program is required by hire date.
- Related student internship work experience preferred.
- EIT (Engineer in Training) accreditation preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, RAM, RISA required.
- Willingness to perform overtime work during construction or project phases.
