A Senior Construction Administration role responsible for leading and managing construction projects, ensuring quality, risk mitigation, and cost control, primarily in large healthcare and institutional facilities, with significant onsite presence and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate construction administration efforts for large projects, including managing onsite activities and team members.
Administer construction contracts, including reviewing and interpreting documents, resolving site issues, and coordinating changes.
Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks throughout the construction process.
Review construction progress, monitor quality, and prepare site reports and documentation.
Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change proposals, and payment applications.
Lead project meetings related to scheduling, cost management, and quality control.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, project procedures, and firm policies.
Collaborate with project leadership on hiring, performance metrics, and process improvements.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field required.
Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in the construction administration required.
Institutional and or commercial project experience for at least the last 5 years required.
Healthcare and Education Project experience strongly preferred.
Registration or Licensure preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team is essential.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is required.
Familiarity with the operation of construction management software Procore is required.
Travel as required for the position.
Ability to perform onsite presence at the project site in Rochester, MN, consistently.
Adherence to established on-site project procedures and safety program requirements.
Work under the supervision of a Licensed Architect when required.
