Job Description
This role involves providing high-level electrical engineering design, project leadership, and technical oversight for building construction projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while managing project execution and client interface.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction
- Develop project designs, goals, and systems
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering team members
- Lead or participate in project planning, meetings, and coordination
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems
- Prepare construction documents such as drawings and specifications
- Specify electrical equipment and conduct quality control reviews
- Manage project engineering responsibilities, including scheduling and financial goals
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Oversee construction administration, site visits, and observation of construction progress
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electrical engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering in the United States.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer for electrical engineering documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.
