Job Description
The BIM Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining BIM CAD drawings for equipment planning, collaborating with medical equipment planners, ensuring drawing accuracy and quality, and supporting project delivery through technical expertise and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare BIM CAD drawings for equipment planning team using Revit software
- Make corrections to drawings based on redlines and verbal instructions
- Collaborate with equipment planners to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely project delivery
- Update and maintain master equipment keynote schedule
- Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with scope of work
- Support other teams as a backup when needed
- Escalate and track issues related to medical equipment
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Drafting, Design, Architectural or Engineering Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
- Experience utilizing Autodesk Revit software to produce architectural drawings is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of how the aspects of A E, equipment planning, and BIM interact.
- Ability to prepare details and produce BIM CAD drawings for equipment planning.
- Ability to make corrections to drawings from redlines and verbal directions.
- Ability to collaborate closely with equipment planners to maintain quality of drawings, execute projects on time, and follow best practices.
- Ability to update and maintain master equipment keynote schedule information.
- Ability to review drawings for accuracy and compliance with scope of work, ensuring quality of final drawings.
- Ability to function as backup to other teams, as needed.
- Ability to escalate issues related to medical equipment and ensure they are tracked and addressed.
- Comfort with regular extensive travel for client work and internal meetings.
