Job Description

The IoT Technical Lead is responsible for developing and overseeing system integration strategies for smart building and enterprise environments, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, engaging with clients, and ensuring the successful implementation and operation of integrated systems including automation, robotics, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead system integration strategies for smart building and enterprise environments.
  • Define reference architectures, data flow diagrams, and integration patterns across various platforms.
  • Translate client use cases into enterprise-level integration roadmaps and data models.
  • Oversee technical direction and coordination of integration subject matter experts and teams.
  • Review technical deliverables to ensure adherence to integration strategies and quality standards.
  • Serve as the escalation point for cross-domain technical integration issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and teams on integrating robotics and autonomous systems into projects.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, aligning solutions with business and operational goals.
  • Support project implementation through technical input, design review, and testing coordination.
  • Advise clients on platform usage, system optimization, and long-term digital governance post-occupancy.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in system integration, smart buildings, or enterprise digital platforms, with cross-functional team oversight required.
  • Strong technical understanding of integration frameworks, APIs, and messaging protocols such as MQTT, BACnet IP, REST, etc.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Niagara, ServiceNow, Azure IoT, Workday, Epic, OfficeSpace, and others.
  • Exposure to or experience with robotics, automation systems, or autonomous technologies such as AMRs, UV robots, or delivery bots is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT OT convergence, data privacy, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical domains.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and multidisciplinary teams concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support major project milestones and coordination efforts.
