Job Description
This role involves leading the Health market within CannonDesign's Toronto office by driving business development, client engagement, team leadership, and market growth initiatives, with a focus on delivering innovative design solutions and fostering long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performance teams focused on the Health market
- Develop and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve top-line revenue targets
- Engage with clients at high levels to lead project work and foster long-term relationships
- Promote the firm's brand externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and activities
- Mentor and recruit staff to build a diverse, high-performing team and future leaders
- Advance strategic initiatives, client pursuit strategies, and market differentiation
- Manage the overall financial performance of the market, ensuring profitability targets are met
- Identify market trends and opportunities for growth and innovation
- Collaborate with leadership to implement business plan initiatives and ensure market success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
- Must have 12 years minimum experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Health Market.
- Strong presentations skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
