ABOUT THE ROLE
CannonDesign has an opportunity for an Ethics & Integrity Specialist to join our Ethics & Compliance team. This role will support day-to-day activities related to our firmwide ethics and integrity program, including responding to questions, supporting process documentation, assisting with due diligence, and helping maintain tools, resources and communications related to ethics and compliance topics. The ideal candidate is organized, thoughtful and detail-oriented, with good judgment and strong communication skills. This role works closely with internal teams and helps ensure colleagues have clear guidance and support when navigating ethics and compliance-related matters.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Serve as a trusted resource for ethics and integrity questions, supporting colleagues as they navigate firm policies, procedures and expectations.
• Review and triage inquiries related to conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, non-public information, public-sector engagements, RFP/RFQ considerations, vendor relationships and other ethics and compliance topics.
• Support the intake, documentation, tracking and resolution of ethics and compliance matters in a timely, thoughtful and confidential manner.
• Conduct research and due diligence using publicly available information and internal resources to support risk assessments, decision-making and program needs.
• Assist with the development, coordination and delivery of ethics and compliance training, communications, guidance materials and awareness campaigns.
• Help maintain accurate records, dashboards, trackers and other documentation to support program operations, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Legal, People, Finance, Operations and other internal teams to help ensure ethics and integrity considerations are embedded into business processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve program workflows, tools, templates and communication practices.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement.
• May perform other duties as required.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Ethics or a related field preferred.
• Professional certification such as CCEP, CCEP-I, or related credential is a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in ethics and compliance, legal operations, risk management, investigations, governance or a related professional environment required.
• Experience supporting ethics, compliance, legal or risk-related programs in a professional services, architecture/engineering, consulting, government contracting or similarly complex environment preferred.
• Strong research, analytical and documentation skills with the ability to synthesize information and identify key issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain policies and expectations in a clear, practical and approachable way.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and follow through on time-sensitive matters.
• Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential or sensitive information.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams, levels and geographies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use case management, reporting or workflow tools.
The salary range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY office or remotely is $76,000 to $95,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Based on the position status, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs. For a general overview of our benefits, please visit our careers page at

ABOUT OUR FIRM
CannonDesign is a design practice where strategy, experience, architecture, engineering, and social impact converge. We don’t just dream up solutions — we create and bring them to life in ways to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our clients and the society. Please note that candidates can only apply to our positions on our company Careers site. Should an issue arise that you feel we should be aware of, please contact us. Please provide your resume and portfolio when applying.
As a condition of employment, all employees are expected to complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to our internal policies and our Code of Conduct.
