This role involves leading the Education market segment within CannonDesign's Denver office, focusing on business development, client engagement, team leadership, and market growth strategies to achieve financial and strategic objectives while promoting Living-Centered Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market.
Create and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships to achieve revenue targets.
Lead client engagement at high levels, providing project leadership and innovative solutions.
Enhance the market's brand through external speaking, writing, and promotional activities.
Support practice development, including mentoring staff, recruiting talent, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and client pursuit strategies.
Manage the overall top-line revenue and profitability of the market, with specific financial goals.
Assess market trends and opportunities to inform strategic growth and innovation.
Collaborate with leadership to implement business plan initiatives and ensure financial success.
Lead staff development efforts, including mentoring, coaching, and recruiting to build a diverse and inclusive team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
Strong presentation skills are essential.
Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
Some travel is required.
