This role involves leading the Education market within CannonDesign's offices, focusing on business development, client engagement, team leadership, and market growth to achieve strategic and financial objectives while promoting Living-Centered Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market.
Create and implement the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve top-line revenue targets.
Lead client engagement at high levels, managing project-specific work and fostering long-term relationships.
Enhance the market's brand through speaking engagements, writing, and promotional activities.
Support practice development, including mentoring team members and recruiting talent.
Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and client pursuit strategies.
Manage the overall top-line results and profitability of the market.
Assess market trends and identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Lead staff development by mentoring, coaching, and recruiting to build a high-performing, inclusive team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
Strong presentation skills are essential.
Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
Some travel is required.
