Job Description

CS Powertech is a vertically-integrated manufacturer of ingots, wafers, cells, solar modules (panels) and custom-designed solar power applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety programs tailored to manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, review, and maintain emergency-response plans, evacuation procedures, pre-incident plans, and response protocols.
  • Identify fire, chemical, electrical, occupational, and life-safety hazards; recommend corrective actions and verify completion.
  • Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety audits; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct fire and life-safety inspections of buildings, work areas, equipment, and emergency systems.
  • Establish and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, emergency communication, and coordination with local emergency services.
  • Organize and evaluate fire drills, evacuation exercises, rescue simulations, and emergency-response training.
  • Train employees and response-team members in fire prevention, extinguisher use, evacuation, first aid, incident command, and emergency procedures.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire detection and suppression systems, including sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting.
  • Lead fire drills and emergency response training sessions for all employees; ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Maintain emergency vehicles, tools, personal protective equipment, and response supplies in operational condition.
  • Collaborate with facility management and safety teams to integrate fire safety into overall EHS strategies.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local fire codes and regulations (e.g., NFPA standards, OSHA).
  • Investigate fire incidents, near misses, or emergency events; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Manage fire safety equipment inventories and ensure availability of proper firefighting resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to manufacturing.
  • Prepare and present safety reports and performance metrics.
  • May be required to carry out fire prevention or emergency preparedness duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Fire Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Manufacturing experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in fire safety and emergency response, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA, OSHA, local fire codes).
  • Strong leadership and training skills; ability to conduct effective drills and safety training.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
  • Proficient in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
