Coordinate the flow of materials from warehouse to pre-assembly factory before routing to final assembly factories and/or preparing Customer Shipments.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability to meet operational requirements.
Review material demand, forecasts, and production schedules to identify shortages and excess inventory.
Work closely with Procurement, Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to resolve material issues and resolve material constraint bottlenecks.
Track and expedite critical materials and deliveries defined by Production Control and Business Operations.
Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems.
Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs and cycle times.
Investigate and resolve material discrepancies, damaged goods, and supplier issues.
Develop reports and metrics related to inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational performance.
Train, mentor, and support junior material coordinators and material handling personnel.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and material flow processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, automotive, or industrial environments.
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
