Commodity Director – Power Conditioning System (PCS)

The PCS - Commodity Director is responsible for leading the global sourcing strategy, supplier management, cost optimization, and risk mitigation for power electronics components, systems, power modules. This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business leadership to ensure a resilient, cost-effective, and innovative supply chain.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field)
• 20-25+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, Commodity management with strong exposure to power electronics/electricals
• Proven experience negotiating global, high-value supplier contracts and Contract Manufacturer management
• Experience working in industries such as industrial, renewable energy, or electronics manufacturing
• Strategic Sourcing Expertise – Ability to develop and execute long-term commodity strategies
• Technical Acumen – Strong understanding of power electronics and component-level design tradeoffs, EMS manufacturing processes
• Negotiation & Influencing Skills – Executive presence with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Analytical Thinking – Cost modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment
• Leadership – Ability to lead global, cross-functional teams
• Communication – Clear articulation of strategy and decisions to senior leadership.
