Job Description
This role involves providing legal support and strategic advice for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, including negotiations, project finance, acquisitions, and regulatory compliance, to support the development and operation of renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide legal support for renewable energy development projects, including negotiating EPC, procurement, PPA, LGIA, and interconnection agreements.
- Support project finance and M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents and structuring financing arrangements.
- Coordinate with internal teams on legal aspects of project development, financing, real estate, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct due diligence and advise on project acquisitions and greenfield development opportunities.
- Supervise outside counsel and ensure effective legal support across the organization.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to applicable state bar
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with commercial transactions, construction, and or financing for solar, storage, wind or other renewable energy related experience
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams of internal and external resources
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
- High level of integrity with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships
- An entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get the job done in a fast-paced environment and rapidly growing business
- Willingness to be flexible about work schedule to support closings and meet deadlines and shifting demands and priorities
- Willingness to travel as required

Compensation/salary range: $240,952 - $290,532 USD plus bonus
