Job Description
A Project Controls Manager responsible for implementing and maintaining project control systems to ensure cost, schedule, and performance targets are met for utility-scale renewable energy projects, supporting project execution through scheduling, cost analysis, reporting, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project control systems to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
- Develop and update integrated project schedules using tools like Sitetracker, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
- Support project managers with timely updates on cost forecasts and schedules, including re-forecasting activities.
- Track, analyze, and report on project costs, forecasts, and performance metrics against budgets and schedules.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders on project schedules and cash flows.
- Identify schedule and cost risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support change control processes, including assessing cost and schedule impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
Requirements
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy development
- At least 4 years of experience in scheduling and cost analysis
- Experience with Sitetracker, Primavera P6, MS Teams, or similar software
- Highly proficient in Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and working across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from multiple sources
- Experience with contract cost management, forecasting, cash flows, and project budget controls
- Experience supporting a broad base of internal customers and building strong relationships across teams
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a time-sensitive setting of rapid change and conflicting demands, balancing multiple competing priorities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, methodical problem-solving skills
- Experience in supporting capital in pre-construction or construction projects, ideally in the utility energy space
