Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product teams : Work closely with product management, Software and Hardware Development, engineering, and security teams to define security features, assess product risks, prioritize security initiatives, create business and technical use cases, and implement strategic controls that protect both product integrity and user trust.
Engage with suppliers and development partners: Work closely with hardware and software suppliers and Tier1 development partners to define and align on cybersecurity features, drive their timely delivery, and ensure that contributions meet Aurora’s security standards and support overall product integrity and user trust.
Develop high-level security roadmap(s): Work closely with product and engineering leads to develop high level roadmaps and plans (Business and Technical) which will highlight and document cross-functional dependencies as well as the critical path(s) of various programs and projects.
Lead security integration: Develop and execute security assurance, governance, and risk management programs, ensuring they are deeply embedded into all phases of product development from hardware to support applications and that they are aligned with company goals objectives.
Monitor and report: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product and security risks, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in Technical Product, Program or Product Management role, in the automotive or AV domain preferred and also cybersecurity experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience developing product strategies, building product use cases, leading large-scale programs with an emphasis on project management, requirements management, and integrating hardware and software features into complex products.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional product teams.
Hands-on experience participating and directing product development.
Experience building and scaling product programs from the ground up, particularly in product-focused environments or industries with stringent security requirements.
Strong knowledge of auto industry security standards and regulations (e.g. ISO21434)
Proven ability to lead broad organizational changes.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in a product context.
Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $236,000 per Year . Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
