Job Description
The Aurora Driver team is seeking a Staff Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer to lead the implementation and validation of high-speed electrical interfaces and hardware systems for autonomous driving technology, focusing on optimizing performance, modeling complex structures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) implementation in autonomous driving hardware systems, sensors, and hardwares.
- Develop and apply simulation methodologies for PCB, high-speed channels, and SoC to optimize SI and PI performance.
- Model complex 3D structures such as PCB connectors and cables.
- Extract and characterize high-speed channels and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Validate high-speed interfaces in laboratory settings using high-end measurement equipment.
Requirements
- Lead Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) implementation in advanced autonomous driving hardware systems, sensors, and hardnesses.
- Develop and implement simulation methodology for PCB, high speed channel, and System on Chip (SOC) to optimize SI and PI performance.
- Model complex 3D structures, such as PCB connectors and cables.
- Extract and characterize high speed channels and ensure compliance against industry standards.
- Lead high speed interfaces validation in lab using high-end scope, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), and spectrum analyzer.
- Possess a MS or PhD preferred in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Degree.
- Have at least 6 years of industry experience in relevant fields.
- Experience with design and implementation of high speed electrical interfaces, such as PCIe Gen4 and Gen5, automotive Ethernet, DDR, LPDDR4/5, MIPI, HDMI, USB, etc.
- Good electromagnetic (EM) knowledge and proficiency with SI/PI simulation tools such as HFSS, SIwave, ADS, or Cadence Sigrity.
- Solid understanding of transmission line theory, S-parameters, signal processing, PCB material selection, stackup, and fabrication processes.
- Strong lab skills and experience with VNA, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer, TDR, and related measurement tools.
