Job Description
The Summer 2025 Software Engineering Intern at Aurora will work on impactful projects related to self-driving technology, collaborating with a dedicated mentor and team members while developing skills in software development and system performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete an impactful internship project aligned with Aurora's current priorities and product vision
- Work with a dedicated Mentor for project guidance and coaching
- Collaborate closely with full-time team members
- Utilize Aurora's simulation frameworks for verification and validation of system performance
- Interface with Motion Planning and Localization teams for trajectory tracking
- Monitor on-road Control performance and discover anomalous events through dashboards
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a BS, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Graphics or a related technical area with a graduation date between December 2025 - May 2026.
- Good development skills in one or more of the following: C++, Python.
- Exposure to one or more of the following: optimization techniques, vehicle dynamics modelling, system identification and analysis.
- Experience writing robust, intuitive, high-performance code as demonstrated through previous internships, work experience, research projects or conference publications.
- Passion for solving challenging, impactful problems as part of a team, and a win together mindset.
- Interns must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Benefits & Perks
Hourly Rate: $47.00 per hour for interns pursuing an undergraduate degree
Hourly Rate: $52.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master's degree
Hourly Rate: $58.00 per hour for interns pursuing a doctoral degree
