Job Description
The Software Engineer will develop and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines for storing and serving map data, supporting Aurora's self-driving technology and mapping infrastructure. The role involves working on distributed systems, cloud technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the Aurora Atlas system.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data processing pipelines for storing and serving map data.
- Establish and maintain testing and performance optimization practices to ensure system stability and scalability.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence system design and feature development.
Requirements
- 4 years experience building server side and data processing systems.
- Expert proficiency in C with a commitment to writing clean, testable, and production-ready code.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems principles, with a proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable backend systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.

Base salary range: 146,000 - 234,000
