Job Description
The Senior Staff EMC Engineer at Aurora will lead the implementation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in advanced autonomous driving hardware systems, ensuring compliance with automotive EMC standards through design reviews, simulations, and testing throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead EMC implementation in advanced autonomous driving hardware systems, sensors, and harnesses.
- Review Electrical and Mechanical designs for compliance with Automotive EMC standards.
- Develop EMC simulation methodology and conduct early stage EMC assessments.
- Perform EMC compliance tests and communicate findings with the team and vendors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure EMC compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- 10 years of industry experience in electrical systems or automotive vehicles
- Deep understanding of EMC principles and Automotive EMC standards including CISPR25, ISO11452, 7637, and 10605
- Experience with EMC simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS or CST and PCB design software
- Hands-on experience with EMC test equipment and test setups
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
